BOILERMATE®1200S
The BOILERMATE®1200S is Miura's “All-in-One” boiler water treatment chemical.
1. Silica for Corrosion Inhibitor
- Protects the boiler from pitting corrosion caused by Dissolved Oxygen and Corrosive ions (Chloride and Sulfate)
- No activation time required: Silica passive layer does not require activation time; unlike oxygen scavenger which needs time to react with oxygen and perform the corrosion inhibition
2. pH Boosting to Raise pH
- Inhibits general corrosion caused by low pH
3. Minimal Amount of Scale Dispersant
- Chelates small amount of hardness to prevent scale from forming
Silica Treatment vs Oxygen Scavengers
Conventional boiler treatment is a combination of separate chemicals: a pH booster, an oxygen scavenger, and sometimes a descaler. Though pH is raised, and Oxygen is removed, corrosive ions like Chloride and Sulfate are left untreated and can result in pitting.
BM®1200S uses Silica to create a “Passivating Layer” on the metal of the water tube. This prevents corrosive stimulants, like Oxygen and Chloride, from bonding to the metal and pitting the tubes.
