What Is a WP2?
The WP2 is a MIURA-specific multifunction controller designed to centralize all control functions required for water treatment. While it typically accompanies a BP201 unit, it can also operate independently. When connected to peripheral equipment, the WP2 serves as the central communication hub, seamlessly integrating control and coordination across all water treatment components.

WP2 Features
Once these components are connected, the WP2 is capable of the following:
- Controlling chemical injection.
- Controlling feed tank water level.
- Controlling aspects of condensate return.
- Using a communication conversion feature to connect water treatment equipment and transmitting information to other Miura equipment.
- Communicating reports alarms/cautions within the water treatment side of the boiler system.

Chemical Injection Control

Feed Tank Water Level Control
The WP2 uses electrodes to control feed tank water level.
- HH Probe - High-water level alarm
- H Probe - Stop feed tank makeup
- L Probe - Start feed tank makeup
- LL Probe - Low-water level alarm
- B Probe - An optional water level for bypass makeup operation. (The LL probe can also act as the bypass control, if desired)
The WP2 also supports efficient feed water level control by activating components based on demand signals. It manages makeup water flow and pressure to maintain proper levels and system performance.
- Outputs a signal to operate the feed water tank makeup valve.
- Activates a raw water pressure pump before pretreatment equipment, boosting pressure when water is needed.
- Uses inputs from level probes to open or close a raw water motor valve, ensuring water flows when needed and stops when full
Condensate Return Control Function
The condensate return can be drained while the temperature is low.
- Avoids dropping the feed tank temperature.
- A thermocouple and motor valve will need to be installed on the condensate line to use this function.

If a specific conductivity is desired in the feed tank, the condensate return can be dumped to prevent over-dilution of the feed water.
Monitoring Function
The WP2 plays a critical role in maintaining boiler efficiency by closely monitoring pretreatment processes and related equipment.

Flowmeters help track the supply water flow, ensuring the system operates within desired parameters and enabling the WP2 to maintain optimal performance.
Which equipment functions does the WP2 monitor?

Communication with DS-NET Equipment
Similar to the ML2, the WP2 translates the DS-NET language to the M-NET3 language.
This Allows for communication and monitoring of water treatment equipment, like MW-U water softeners and the Colormetry, with boiler equipment and MOM.

Alarm and Notice Function
The WP2 can display alarms and notices based on the signals of attached equipment.
- The alarms and notices can be displayed on the BP and other M-NET3 equipment, such as Miura Connect
- If the boiler system is utilizing the MOM service, then the alarms and notices from the water equipment (e.g., MW-U and Colormetry) will be remotely visible via the MOM service and Miura Connect.
